I have been trained at both the famous City Lit and at the London School of Massage. My main course was overseen by the very stringent City & Guilds educational body. I'm lucky to have found an occupation I love and proud that this shows in my ability to give each and every client a massage which addresses the reasons they booked but always tries to go one step further.
I'm a member of the CThA (Complementary Therapists Association) and am fully insured. My training included many aspects of health and safety, including hygiene and cleanliness. It also dealt with privacy, comfort and care - as everyone's situations and cultures differ.
I'm passionate about massage used as a therapy for body, mind and soul. The power of touch is an amazing thing. It can be calming, healing or help you feel more connected with yourself. That is why this therapy is called "holistic". It deals with and helps the whole picture.
Not everyone that visits me comes with aching muscles or knots... some have stressful lives and need a relaxing moment in their otherwise hectic day... others book for a well earned treat that's just for them, good for the soul.

REVIEW - THE WHARF FEBRUARY 2018
Deep tissue massage gets to the root of good therapy
While deep tissue massage may be a more traditional therapy, Steven Smallwood made his session a memorable experience with his upbeat nature and attention to detail.
The Lodge Space has two treatment rooms in its lower ground floor and they back on to the park, avoiding any sounds from the road.
You may hear the occasional voice from the Pilates studios next door but Steven let me choose the kind of music I wanted to listen to (something wordless) to help muffle the background noise.
He also checked the temperature in the room was comfortable and made a discreet exit so I could slide between the towels.
Apparently I have very flexible feet but he still propped a towel under my ankles to relieve the pressure. To my delight he even tucked me in like a toddler so my arms could relax without falling off the sides of the couch, making me feel like a beached sea lion.
The massage itself was verging on painful, as a good deep tissue should be. But Steven also cradled my head with the gentleness of a parent so he could massage away the knots in my neck.
Sadly my arms and hands missed out on the action, but this didn’t stop me feeling like warm jelly by the end of the 50-minute treatment.
I emerged, languidly, reportedly looking very much like a happy sloth.

Essential Oils and dōTERRA
It's more than Aromatherapy
I find essential oils and their uses fascinating. Harnessing the powers of plants to survive and thrive is such a holistic thing. With the exceptionally pure oils from dōTERRA you can get their benefits not only from applying to skin or inhaling but also by ingesting.
Search the web for real stories and tips on how others use dōTERRA oils in their lives.
